This coming March, the team from Serai is set to be joined by their esteemed fellow champions of contemporary Filipino cuisine from Manila, Jordy Navarra of Toyo and JP “Jepe” Cruz from Inato.
This exciting event promises to be a cross-cultural culinary journey, bringing the flavours of the Philippines to Melbourne. Toyo Eatery, recognized for its excellence in the culinary world, was named the Tatler Dining Guide’s restaurant of the year for 2024. And though Inato only opened its doors at the beginning of 2024, it has already made a name for the flair with which chef JP Cruz applies Filipino charcoal cooking techniques to exceptional produce.
This takeover will be about pushing the boundaries of Filipino cuisine, offering diners a chance to experience the rich, diverse flavours of the Philippines in a modern and refined setting.
