Bar Spontana is teaming up with celebrated Thai chef, author, and ‘Mae Kay’ hot sauce creator Kay Plunkett-Hogge for a day of open-fire cooking and vibrant regional Thai flavours. Kay and Bar Spontana Head Chef Noom have curated a menu that celebrates the rich diversity of regional Thailand, all centered around our charcoal grill.

Bar Spontana is dedicated to exploring the diverse flavours of regional Thai cuisine, while its beverage program highlights spontaneous fermentation, with a focus on terroir-driven, natural, organic, and biodynamic offerings.
On Thursday 27th March, we’re excited to welcome celebrated Thai chef, author, broadcaster and ‘Mae Kay’ hot sauce creator, Kay Plunkett-Hogge to Bar Spontana. She will showcase charcoal-centric dishes inspired by her travels through Thailand and launch her new book, Siam, which features recipes that highlight the international influences on Thai cuisine, including contributions from Bar Spontana’s team.
Join us from 5pm-6pm for the book launch meet & greet and book signing with Kay. Guests will be able to purchase the new book as well as Kay’s incredible new Mae Kay hot sauces. A small selection of ThaizaKAYa snacks and drinks will also be available to order.
From 6pm-late we will be offering an incredibly delicious ThaizaKAYa set menu feast crafted and cooked with care by Kay in collaboration with Bar Spontana Head Chef Noomie.
